London and Bath

Ah! I have so much to catch up on!  I am currently in Box, England, which is about 10 minutes from Bath.  My B&B is the Lorne House, childhood home of the creator of Thomas the Train! I left London yesterday, leaving behind my amazing hosts.  Ahman and Bruce gave me such a fantastic week, a week that had it not been for them I most likely would have spent lonely and bored.  They treated me like an old friend, allowing me to follow them around to dinner and work.. I LOVED it!!  Friday night Ahman got me into a taping of Paul O'Grady Live, it was hilarious.  The guests were John Cleese, Amanda Holden (Judge on Britain's Got Talet), Charlotte Church and Rupert Everett!!! On a side note, if you are ever at a show taping in London...don't identify yourself as an American, the warm-up comedian picked on me the whole time.  But, I did get semi-introduced to Charlotte Church,
"American do you know who Charlotte Church is?"
"Of course"
"American, Charlotte.  Charlotte, American".
She waved politely.  It was really fun!!!
I'm heading back to Ahman and Bruce's house on Saturday...I had another booking but I loved it so much there I wanted to go back...plus two native Londoners told me I would get stabbed in the neighborhood of the other booking...In other AWESOME news, Ahman has decided to come to Edinburgh with me!!! I am so excited!!!

DRIVING:  Thank you Jesus, I am still alive.  I HATE driving over here.  I cannot wait to return the car on Saturday and not drive again until I land in Colorado. Driving to Box was one of the most nerve racking experiences of my life! Terrifying! Not only am I driving on the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the car but I'm shifting with my left hand and signaling with my right hand...which means that every time I try to turn on the turn signal I actually turn on the windshield wipers.  Two hours and a string of obscenities later I arrived in Box, then I nearly hit a car in the parking lot of the B&B...great.

Anyway, today I headed into Bath, walked around for a few hours, sampled the famous Spa Water in the Roman Baths and then headed back to my B&B for some R&R...I like abbreviations.  Below are some pictures I took on Friday night in London and then a bunch I took today in Bath.

Sounds like you're having fun! The photos are great and Bath looks beautiful. Jane Austen center! I want to go there. Was Mr. Darcy there?? Glad you had a good time with your host family. Have safe travels and if you find a Welsh corgi in Wales take a picture for me!
